High Temperature Materials
High temperature plastics are particularly demanding when processed with hot runner systems in a melt temperature range of 300 - 400°C (572 - 752°F).
Amorphous Materials
Amorphous thermoplastics such as PSU, PEI or PC are characterized by a high viscosity and a strong adhesion of the melt to the wall at the melt channel. Rheo-Pro® hot runner technology addresses this challenge specifically with special alloys and surface treatments that promote the flow of the melt.

Crystalline Materials
Crystalline thermoplastics such as PEEK, PA4.6, LCP, and PPS are known for their distinct, sharp crystallite melting point. This thermal characteristic demands extremely accurate temperature control of the hot runner along the entire melt channel, from the machine nozzle to the mold cavity.
Tough, Reliable Performance
Rheo-Pro® hot runners offers isothermal conditions for a uniform melt temperature and precision nozzle control with patented heater technology. All Rheo-Pro® hot runner components are built to last at an operating temperature of up to 450°C. This includes the VA series valve actuators with unique interior cooling to provide millions of molding cycles for high temperature polymers. |
